1st Congregational Church of Long Beach

Client: 1st Congregational Church of Long Beach
Location: Long Beach, CA
Type: Tenant Improvement

This project was an addition to the original historic church building, which was built in 1914 by the Bixby Family of Long Beach.  The new Christian Education & Assembly building consists of a 4,000 sq. ft. basement with 2 classrooms and a full commercial kitchen.  The 1st floor, 8,460 sq. ft., has 3 classrooms and the gym/assembly room.  The 3rd floor, 5,203 sq. ft., has 6 classrooms and administration offices.  The structure is wood frame with brick veneer, and there is a 3-stop elevator.  The architectural firm was Dominy + Associates of San Diego CA, and the on site superintendent was Ray Richardson.

 
Far East National Bank

project

Client: Far East National Bank
Location: Alhambra, CA
Type: New Construction

Charles Licha Construction, Inc. built the first freestanding branch for Far East National Bank.  This is a two-story masonry building with the two-stop elevator.  It has first floor offices, public restrooms, teller area, and conference room with international televideo communications.  The second floor has reception, offices, and elaborate work cubicles with etched glass partitions.  The Alhambra Beautiful Committee of the Alhambra Chamber of Commerce presented an award to Charles Licha Construction for this building.  This award is given each year to those developers, architects, and businesses that have made an outstanding contribution toward making Alhambra a more beautiful City.  Charles Licha Construction was also presented with the California State Senate Certificate of Recognition.  The architectural firm was Clements and Clements of San Marino CA.  The on site superintendent for this project was Terry Gilmore.

 
Longs Drug Stores

Client: Longs Drug Stores
Location: Moorpark, CA
Type: Tenant Improvement

Longs Drug Store #530.  12,000 sq. ft. retail and pharmacy area with additional 8,163 sq. ft. two story wood frame.  The store is fully sprinklered and has a monitored fire alarm system.  Also includes roll-up doors to warehouse area, offices, rest rooms, and a computer room.  The architectural firm was MCG Architecture of Pasadena CA.  Terry Gilmore was the on site Superintendent for this 2000 project.
